A first-floor apartment in a palazzo of the 1890s, divided and redivided over a century. The partitions came out, the boiserie was restored where it survived and copied where it did not, and the parquet was taken back to its first colour. Nothing was hung until the rooms were finished; the family's own collection was then hung sparingly, with two walls left empty for the works they had not found yet.
