Privacy Policy

Last updated · 19 October 2026

Your trust is part of the collection. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the control you keep over your information.

01What we collect

When you request an invitation, join the waitlist, or create an account, we collect the information you provide — such as your name, email address, country/region, discipline or maison, links to your work, and anything you write to us.

We also collect limited technical data automatically, such as your device type, browser, approximate location (from IP), and how you interact with the Platform, in order to operate and improve it.

02How we use it

We use your information to: review invitation and membership requests; create and manage accounts; operate the museum and any sales; communicate with you about your account, invitations, and the launch; provide support; and improve and secure the Platform.

With your consent, we may send you occasional updates about STENDHAL. You can withdraw consent or unsubscribe at any time.

03Legal bases

Where the GDPR or similar laws apply, we process personal data on the bases of: performance of a contract (operating your account and sales); your consent (marketing emails); our legitimate interests (securing and improving the Platform); and compliance with legal obligations.

04Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers who help us run the Platform (for example hosting, analytics, email, and payment processing), under contracts that require them to protect it; and where required by law or to protect rights and safety.

If STENDHAL is involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, your data may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this Policy.

05Cookies

We use only the few cookies the Platform needs to work, and no advertising or tracking cookies. Our Cookies page lists each one, what it does and how long it lasts. You can clear or block them in your browser; signing in and checkout will then stop working.

06Data retention

We keep personal data only for as long as needed for the purposes described here, to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it.

07Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your personal data; to object to or restrict certain processing; and to withdraw consent. Residents of the EEA/UK (GDPR) and California (CCPA/CPRA) have specific rights, including the right not to receive discriminatory treatment for exercising them.

To exercise any right, write to stendhal03@gmail.com. We will respond within the timeframes required by applicable law.

08Security & transfers

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

As a global platform, we may process and store data in countries other than yours. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers.

09Children

The Platform is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

10Changes & contact

We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the Platform or by email.

For any privacy question or request, contact stendhal03@gmail.com.
