Client services
Collecting with Stendhal.
What happens between the moment a work overwhelms you and the day it hangs on your wall.
Acquiring a work
A work the house has listed for sale carries its price on its page. Acquire takes you to the checkout, where delivery, duties and taxes are priced to your door before you pay. For any other work, Acquire or Enquire opens a short note to the house, and the founders write back.
The artist keeps 77% of every sale.
Payment
By card or by bank transfer, on every order. The payment processor's fee is added to your total at checkout and paid by you, never taken from the artist's share; it depends on how you pay, and a bank transfer costs less. From $25,000 the checkout offers bank transfer first. A transfer must come from an account in your own name.
For a work of $10,000 or more, the house checks the buyer's ID before the payment is taken; it is kept privately and seen only by the founders.
Delivery
The artist packs the work, and the house books an insured fine-art courier; the courier's quote is part of your total. No work travels uninsured. Duties and taxes are paid ahead, so nothing is owed at the door. Counted from the day you pay, a work arrives in 7 to 14 days when you live in the artist's country, and in 14 to 28 days from abroad. You receive tracking the day it ships.
When it arrives
You have 7 days to confirm the work is as described.
- Damaged, or not as described. The house pays for the return and refunds delivery.
- A change of mind. The buyer pays return carriage and insurance. Delivery is not refunded.
Buyers in the European Union, the United Kingdom, Iceland, Norway and Liechtenstein also keep their 14-day legal right to withdraw.
The Living Seal
Every work that leaves the house carries a certificate of its own.
- The thumb. Pressed by hand, in the colour the artist loves most. Never scanned, never matched.
- The seal of the house. Wax, crown and laurel. Proof that this work overwhelmed both founders before it was invited.
Our guarantee of authenticity never expires. It passes with the work to every owner recorded in the Fibonacci Circle.
A recorded transfer keeps the chain unbroken. An unrecorded one breaks it.
Commissions
To ask an artist for the next one, open their room from the Artists and press Enquire under “Enquire about a work, or the next one.”
Anything else: write to the house.
