II · Where your $2,500 goes
$1,925 goes to Johannes Vermeer.
The house keeps 23 — the number that was waiting for us. We were both born on a 23rd, the idea arrived on a 23rd, and Stendhal himself was born on the 23rd of January. Payment processing, by card or bank transfer, is added at checkout, paid by the buyer, and never taken from the artist's share.
III · About the artist
Johannes Vermeer
The Netherlands
Thirty-four paintings survive. Each one holds a single quiet moment — a letter, a glance, a pour of milk — stilled so completely that three centuries later, the room is still holding its breath.
